Liz Utrecht

Liz Utrecht provides supervised therapy at CCCW through working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mood related issues. They enjoy working from a psychodynamic context, conceptualizing attachment, attunement, transference, and schema therapy. Liz’s approach involves multiple modalities incorporating here-and-now approaches and interventions (CBT, ACT, DBT) to uncover core beliefs, values, and fears conveyed through a person-centered framework and unconditional positive regard.

Liz is a graduate student in Northwestern’s counseling psychology master’s program, working on their LPC. They have bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and political science. Liz is interning for CCCW until November 2021. They are trained in psychodynamic therapy and have prior experience working in social justice and advocacy outreach settings.
